Our Mission

CODE BLUE UofT trains undergraduate students in emergency medicine, prehospital care, and disaster response — while building the next generation of emergency systems innovators.

Emergency medical team

What We Do

Six departments. One mission.

Skills training, live exercises, hospital partnerships, and student-led innovation — all under one roof.

EMS Training

Hands-on skills workshops covering BLS, airway management, and prehospital care.

Monthly skills sessions led by upper-year mentors and certified instructors, plus simulated patient encounters.

Triage Simulations

Biannual mass-casualty exercises with real-time role assignments and performance review.

Full-scale drills with moulage, role cards, and structured debriefs across fall and winter.

Emergency Innovation

Student-led tech projects including AED mapping and ER optimization tools.

Our Innovation Lab ships real software — the AED Mapping App and ER patient-flow concepts.

Hospital Partnerships

Collaborations with Toronto emergency departments for shadowing and physician speakers.

Pathways to ED shadowing, journal clubs, and a recurring guest lecture series.

Research & Publications

Data-driven research on EMS preparedness, with a future undergraduate journal.

Geographic EMS preparedness studies plus our upcoming undergraduate EMS Innovation Journal.

National Competitions

EMS competition team representing UofT at national and international events.
